Bournemouth Airport
Bournemouth Airport is located about 5 miles (8 kilometers) from Bournemouth town centre.
It is also known as Hurn Airport and its IATA airport code is BOH.
Despite its name, the airport is actually located in the nearby town of Christchurch.
Bournemouth Airport is a relatively small airport.
It hosts a tax and duty free shop, a WH Smith bookstore and a Travelex money exchange office.
There is also a restaurant and a bar located in the departure area.
There are several airlines currently flying to and from Bournemouth Airport.
Amongst them Air Berlin, Blue Islands, easyJet, Palmair, Ryanair and Thomsonfly.
Since July 2007, Wizz Air also lands in Bournemouth, departing from and flying to Katowice in Poland.
Bournemouth Airport is able to handle a lightly loaded Boeing 747, but more often you will find smaller airplanes such as the Boeing 737s and the Airbus A230s.
